How to move MATIC from Centralized Exchange (CEX)

If you have MATIC on an exchange such as Binance, gate io, Huobi, or Kucoin, you can immediately transfer it to your personal wallet that supports the Polygon network. One thing to note here is that withdrawals must be made to a wallet address that supports the Polygon network, such as a Metamask, and the withdrawal network must be set to ‘Polygon.’ The following withdrawal guideline is based on Binance.

Withdrawal Procedure

① Transfer MATIC (Polygon network) token from Binance to My Private Crypto Wallet

1. Purchase of MATIC on Centralized Exchange

Purchase MATIC on a centralized exchange that offers Polygon network such as Binance, Kucoin, and Gate.io.

2. Click “MATIC” in the Binance 'Spot' menu

Search MATIC and click on the icon in the Binance 'Spot' menu.

3. Click the withdraw button

Click the [Withdraw] button in the MATIC info window.

4. Select a transaction method

Select [Send via Crypto Network] in the pop-up window

5. Fill in MATIC transaction related informatio

Enter your crypto wallet address and the amount you want, then click the [Withdraw] button.

6. Check transfer information

Check the transfer-related information (address, network, coin type, coin quantity, fee, etc.) and click the [Confirm] button.

7. Verification

Insert a 6-digit verification code and click the [Submit] button.

8. Confirm deposited TOKEN in my crypto wallet

The balance will be shown in your crypto wallet. To check deposited MATIC, make sure your crypto wallet network is set to the 'Polygon Mainnet'.
